One that I was surprised was not included in the Swiss legends site was the story of the Escalade which is a festival which happens every year in Geneva. This is a celebration of the defeat of the Duchy of Savoy. It was said that an old lady poured a cauldron of hot soup from the city walls of Geneva onto the soldiers attempting to climb them. Therefore every year on this day the Swiss celebrate by smashing up a cauldron made out of chocolate, and then eating the broken chocolate. Somewhere in my project I intend including some kind of cauldron in homage!
