Film noir has always been an influence on my artwork not because I am a particular fan of the genre but more because I absolutely love the style and the high contrast monochrome effect where the shadows seem so prominent.
I also really enjoy the time period in which these types of movies are set which includes the cities, clothing, food and politics that go along with it.
This genre has been instrumental in my getting into the mindset of building a game based on several principles to do with noir film.
